Welcome to your local Jo Jingles
Jo Jingles Beaconsfield
Little did I know that when I started running music classes in April 1993 I would still be doing so this many years later!
From a very young age I knew that I wanted to teach in some capacity, and that it had to involve music! Following Music College, in 1980 I became a Primary School teacher with responsibility for music. In July 1986 I stopped teaching to have the first of my three children, and when the youngest was three, I started running pre-school music classes. I found that I was having much more fun doing music with such young children than in my previous role, plus my growing business fitted in perfectly around my own children!
All three of my children were exposed to music before birth, and have all shown themselves to be musical in various ways since - my two daughters learnt piano and then moved on to ballet and modern jazz dance classes, and my son took up the drums at the age of twelve and is now an excellent drummer and gives drum tuition. He is also the drummer in a five piece band called Saltwater Sun which is currently achieving a good deal of success! My youngest daughter is a full time nanny working with a number of families, and brings her various charges to classes whenever she can. I also work in a number of special needs settings with children and young adults with various learning and physical disabilities, which I find very rewarding and inspiring.
Jo Jingles has been part of my life for so long now, but I still love teaching my classes and get huge enjoyment from working with such young children and their parents/carers. My love of music will never change, and I firmly believe that music should play a big part in a child’s development.
